A better definition for "Raza" is "People" and we are all people. Ultimately, we battle over resources and power. Internationally, we see struggles between those that lack power and those that possess more power (i.e. land=money=power). Politics tends to overshadow the "weak" and the media, such as FOX News, tends to amplify miniscule problems into a greater, frantic situation. Indeed, prevention of further social problems would be ideal, but causing an uproar from any side would be a non-productive step.

The concept of most American Indian groups is that "this is everyone's land" and that sectioning land off is not an Amerindian value. The Aztec empire which stood solidly until 1521 reigned many people/Amerindian cultures from El Salvador in South America all the way to what is now Utah in the United States. The Aztecs established trade routes to what is now Michigan in the United States.

In my opinion, and as a frequent voter, politicians have hidden agendas that they are not willing to talk about. People (maybe you, but not me) that are afraid to lose power, per sé, are outraged that undocumented immigrants can own homes in the United States. Are banks at fault for this? Maybe this is another sneaky move by people with power... to reclaim what rightfully belongs to hard-working people, regardless of their immigration status.

Shame on power-hungry people. We should let go of fears and hostility. We are at an opportune era to build bridges, not burn them.
